You are invited to participate in the 21st Maccabiah Junior International Chess Competition, which will be held at the Haifa-Nesher Chess Club, Savion St. 1, Haifa between 15-July and  22-July-2022.

Tournament details:

7 Round Swiss System (FIDE rated).

Time Control:  1h30+30 sec increment per move.

All Israeli Players should have an Israeli Chess Federation License 2022 or pay 90 NIS rating fees.

The Opening ceremony and pairings will take place on Friday 15/7 at 10:00 PM.

Attention: The Official opening ceremony of the Maccabiah will take place on Thursday 14/7 in Jerusalem

The Closure ceremony will take place on Friday 22/7 at 15:00. Attendance is mandatory.


Winners will get traditional Maccabiah medals and prizes.

Tie Breaks: Points, Buchholz cut1, Buchholz, 2 blitz games.

Who Can Participate:

Players born between 2004-2008 with FIDE chess rating (special cases of unrated players will be analyzed).

Israeli Players should take care of accommodations by themselves through booking websites for example. Foreign players should take care of their accommodations through their National Maccabiah headquarters.
