22nd Maccabiah blitz tournament

You are invited to participate in the 22nd Maccabiah International Chess Tournament, held at the Herzliya Chess Club, Meteor Center, 33 Natan Alterman St., on 07/04/2026 at 21:00, on Saturday.

Tournament details: Swiss system – 9 rounds

Rate of play: 3 minutes + 2 seconds per move. The games will be rated as a blitz FIDE rating.

Opening ceremony and pairings: Saturday at 21:00, immediately after the end of Shabbat.

Prizes: Medals for the winners, as usual in the Maccabiah games.

Special money prizes pool: 5,000 NIS

1^st place – 2,000 NIS

2^nd place – 1,300 NIS

3^rd place  – 900 NIS

Best U2000 rating – 400 NIS

Best female player – 400 NIS

The cash prizes will be divided equally among the players, with no double prizes.

Tie-breaks: bucholz cut one, bucholz, direct encounter.

Participation fee: 100 NIS

Registered players who have competed in the Maccabiah (Open or Youth section) – 50 NIS

GM and IM – free
