Appeals in the 22nd Maccabiah Chess Tournaments
Players who wish to appeal the decision of the chief arbiter in the Maccabiah tournaments must submit the appeal in writing only, or via email, through the main arbiter, to the chairman of the appeals committee, up to one hour after the end of the round.
The Appeals Committee members are IA Dr. Shlomo Kandelsheine (Chairman), IA Israel Gelfer, and IA Assi Philosoph .
The chief arbiter will attach his response to the appeal in writing. The appellant must attach the payment of an appeal fee (150 NIS) to their statement of appeal, which will be returned to the appellant if their appeal is accepted by the committee.
In the event that a member of the Appeals Committee is unable to hear a particular appeal, the Chairman of the Appeals Committee is authorised to add another arbiter in place of that member, to complete the quorum of three members of the Appeals Committee to hear the appeal.
The decision of the Appeals Committee is final!
In the blitz tournament only, the decision of the chief arbiter is final!
Best regards,
Dr. Shlomo Kandelschein
Chairman of the Appeals Committee
